Please note due to the nature of timber moving over time this trivet does not always sit completely flat on the table, however the crossed design allows for this providing a stable surface for hot dishes.

Hugh McCarthy is a furniture maker and joiner with a workshop in Melbourne.

He creates his own pieces, custom makes furniture and is available to collaborate with architects, interior designers and builders who need old and new woodworking techniques to enhance their projects.

Hugh's furniture collection is inspired by his time working in Australia and Japan. He believes furniture should be useful, sturdy and serve you for a long time.
